Dr Daria Kouznetsova

Dr Daria Kouznetsova is a highly empathic, warm and kind clinical psychology registrar who is dedicated to helping adolescents, adults, couples, and families reach goals that they may find themselves struggling with.
Daria is passionate about helping clients with a wide range of difficulties, and has experience treating depression, anxiety, grief, chronic pain, low self-esteem, adjustment issues, emotion regulation difficulties, oppositional behaviour, self-harm, mild cognitive impairment as well as providing neuropsychological assessments. She also has a keen interest in helping couples overcome relationship difficulties using the Gottman Method.
Daria prefers to use an integrative approach to therapy, combining components of CBT, ACT, DBT, motivational interviewing, integrated family intervention, emotional coaching and mindfulness/meditation based on individual client needs.
Her experience spans a number of settings including the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Pain Clinic, Ryde Child and Youth Mental Health Service, the Royal North Shore Hospital Aged Care Services, and the Psychology Clinic at the University of Sydney. Daria has a passion for health psychology and health behaviour change, completing her Master’s thesis in cancer survivorship and physical activity adherence with the Cancer Council NSW.
Daria obtained her Doctor of Clinical Psychology and Master of Science postgraduate qualifications at the University of Sydney, and her Bachelor of Arts – Psychology with Honours degree at Macquarie University. Daria is a generally registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
