Leanda Chan

Leanda is a warm and compassionate registered Psychologist who is committed
to providing evidence-based and personalised therapy to individuals
and couples. Her therapeutic approach is to focus on exploring the
underlying causes of distress, rather than merely treating symptoms,
in order to foster meaningful and lasting change.

She is experienced in treating anxiety, depression, interpersonal
issues, role transitions, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship
problems, and more. Born and raised in Australia but has lived
and worked in other countries with a variety of nationalities. As a
result, her approach is culturally sensitive and respectful of the
unique experiences that shape each person's presentation. She is LGBTQ
and neurodiverse friendly.

With a strong foundation in various therapeutic approaches, such as
Dynamic Psychotherapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused
Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Leanda can
tailor her treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client.

Holding a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in
Psychology Advanced from Monash University, and a Bachelor of Arts
(Sociology) from UNSW, Leanda continues to expand her knowledge and skills
through ongoing professional development and engagement with the
latest research. She is an active member of the Australian Psychological
Society and holds full General Registration as a Psychologist with
AHPRA.
