Matt White
BPsych, AHPRA, MAPS

Matt White is a registered psychologist and trauma-informed therapist who works with adolescents and adults. His approach integrates evidence-based therapies with warmth, curiosity, and respect for each person's unique story, helping clients better understand themselves, develop practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Matt has experience working across private practice, public mental health settings, acute care settings, and non-government organisations. He has supported people experiencing complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, addiction, personality difficulties, psychotic disorders, anger, and suicidality. He is comfortable working with a broad range of presentations while remaining practical, calm, and person-centred.

Matt draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and systemic approaches. He tailors therapy to each person's individual needs, goals, and strengths.

Matt has a particular interest in the complexities of men's mental health and masculinity. He supports men experiencing relationship difficulties, attachment issues, and the challenges that can arise around identity, vulnerability, and connection. He understands how these experiences can contribute to depression, anxiety, disconnection, and emotional distress, and works collaboratively to help men strengthen relationships, improve engagement, and communicate their emotions more effectively.
